Leaping forward in education
The goal of educational therapy is to strengthen the foundational cognitive functions that help students become efficient, effective learners. When a strong foundation is built, students are better able to perform academically.
Educational therapy is not tutoring. Tutoring focuses on what to learn while educational therapy focuses on teaching a student how to learn.
Students who are prime candidates for educational therapy show tendencies towards dyslexia, ADHD, slow processing speed, low working memory, difficulty with reading and/or reading comprehension, struggles with math and other procedural tasks, or other struggles causing them to fall behind in their academic work.
“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”- Benjamin Franklin
